Any screen with a browser
norimono.live is a web page, so the "signage player" is any device that runs a modern browser. Set the board up once; it remembers your stops, asks the screen to stay awake, and refreshes itself.
The short version, any device
- Open a board in the browser on the device that will drive the screen.
- In Settings (the gear), set your location, pick the nearby stops you want, and save. Your choices are stored in that browser — so do this on the device itself.
- Go full screen: install the board as an app (it's an installable PWA — "Install app" / "Add to Home Screen") or use the browser's full-screen/kiosk mode.
- Stop the device from sleeping — the board asks for a screen wake-lock where the browser supports it, but check the device's own display-sleep settings too.
Per-device guides
- Raspberry Pi — the classic DIY departure board: a Pi behind any HDMI screen, Chromium in kiosk mode, starts on boot.
- Fire TV — the cheapest way to turn a TV you already have into a departures board: the Silk browser, screensaver off.
- An old tablet — give a drawer tablet a second life on a wall or counter.
Good to know
- A board belongs to its browser: settings don't sync between devices, so configure each screen on the screen.
- The free plan shows up to 4 stops and 2 departures per route; Plus and Pro raise the limits. A licence key activates one screen at a time — enter it on the screen it's for.
- The board refreshes itself about once a minute, and shows live times where vehicles are tracked — with a "Live" pill so you can tell live from timetable.
