The drawer tablet, back on duty

Most homes and shops have a retired tablet in a drawer. Propped on a shelf and plugged in, it makes a fine departures board — the whole setup is a browser and a charging cable.

1. Open and set up the board

In the tablet's browser, go to app.norimono.live/board. In Settings (the gear), set your location, pick your stops, and save. The board keeps everything in this browser, so it comes back after a reboot.

2. Make it an app

The board is an installable PWA: use Add to Home Screen (iPad: the Share menu in Safari; Android: the browser menu → Install app / Add to Home screen). Launched from the home-screen icon it runs full-screen, without the browser chrome.

3. Keep the screen awake

The board asks the browser for a screen wake-lock, but old tablets are strict about sleep — set it at the OS level too, with the tablet plugged in:

4. Prop, plug, done

A cheap stand and a permanent charger finish the job. Turn the brightness to fit the room; the board follows a light or dark theme.
